Sermon Description

Matt 12:27-37

  • 33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
  • 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
  • 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
  • 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
  • 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Num 13:27-33

  • 27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
  • 28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
  • 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
  • 30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
  • 31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
  • 32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
  • 33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Num 14:1-10

  • 1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
  • 2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
  • 3 And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
  • 4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
  • 5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
  • 6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:
  • 7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
  • 8 If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.
  • 9 Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not.
  • 10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.

Prov 21:23

Prov 12:25

  • 25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

  •

Prov 13:2-3

  • 2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
  • 3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

Prov 6:2

  • 2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
  •

Job 1:9-22

  • 9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
  • 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
  • 11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
  • 12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
  • 13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
  • 14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:
  • 15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
  • 16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
  • 17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
  • 18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
  • 19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
  • 20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
  • 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
  • 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Job 6:23

  • 23 Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?

Job 3:25

  • 25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

Prov 30:32

  • 32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.

Prov 4:23

  • 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Matt 15:12-13

  • 12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
  • 13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
